Moselle, at the heart of European vehicle manufacturing

PSA produces on two sites in Moselle:

• Trémery (manufacture of 4-cylinder-engines, diesel and petrol, especially HDI engines)
• Metz (manufacture of gear boxes for the Master utility vehicle)

At the Tremery plant, the 2008 production amounted to 1.45 million engines (nearly 95 % of which being diesel engines), i.e. a production rate of 6,700 units per day. The launch of the new compact, ecological EB 3-cylinder petrol engine in 2011 will generate investments of 255 million Euros and the creation of 500 new jobs.

SMART achieved record sales on the global market in 2008 with 134,800 vehicles sold, an increase of 34%. The largest market is Italy (33,800 vehicles) followed by Germany (32,000 vehicles).
