MOSELLE DEVELOPMENT AGENCY and PLEXCONCIL, the Indian Office for Plastics Promotion, have established close contacts in 2009, starting in last February on the occasion of the Plastindia Trade Fair in New Delhi where Moselle Development Agency was present.
In June, both partners met again in Calcutta, on the occasion of a road show promoting the EITS09 Business Convention, as well as in September, on the occasion of the visit of an Indian delegation to the Moselle Department. This delegation wanted to study a European region developing innovative actions in the composite material and polymer sector. Moselle Development Agency presented them the Moselle Department as well as the Eastern France Plastics Processing Cluster in Saint-Avold and the Composite Park in Porcelette.
Daniel Zintz, President of Moselle Development Agency, Thierry Zimny, Vice-President of the « Pays Naborien » Urban District, representing the President of the Composite Park Steering Committee, Gilbert Pitance, General Manager of the Eastern France Plastics Processing Cluster and Rajan Kalyanpur, Executive Director of PLEXCONCIL, have signed a MOU (Memorandum of Understanding). This event took place on the occasion of the EITS 09 Business Convention held at the Metz Exhibition Centre, from 17th to 19th November 2009.
French and Indian institutions are involved in the implementation of these industrial sectors, their development and international promotion. Via the MOU, they have decided to support each other in explaining and promoting their sector and ensuring a greater visibility of it to potential investors in India as well as in Europe.
They have planned to meet regularly to exchange technical and commercial information, as well as support each other in order to target potential investors. There will be delegations visiting each other’s countries with an exchange of experts and speakers. Further more, technical cooperation on new technologies as well as partnerships between schools are on the agenda.
