2010-06-24 - 200 participants in the « First meeting of canvassing and industrial development »
Moselle Development Agency presented its 2009 company report in the brand new Metz Pompidou Centre, on the 9th June, followed by the first edition of a « Meeting on canvassing and industrial development ».
This event, organized in collaboration with the Moselle Department Council, attracted some 200 heads of companies and professional partners from the economic, industrial and international sector in the Moselle department.
Besides the two speeches of Daniel Zintz, President of Moselle Development Agency, and Philippe Leroy, President of the Moselle Department Council, there were two thematic round tables, accompanied by videos of company success stories.
On the agenda:
► 2009 activity report of Moselle Development Agency, with comments by concerned staff members, followed by a 2010 forecast (e.g. information on the setting up of an agro-food logistics hub in the Moselle trough, between Metz and Thionville, as well as the setting up of BIOSOLVE-CHIMIE company in Dieuze) ;
► Notification of several extension, innovation and modernisation projects of companies already located in the Moselle, information on canvassing programmes in Europe, especially in Germany and Belgium, but also in several Asian countries. Mr. Markwell of AGCO offered us the success story of his company which set up in the Moselle 15 years ago and has achieved two extension projects ever since.
There was also information on the second edition of EITS planned next year, the great Euro-India business convention on transportation system which was successfully organized for the first time in November 2009. The second edition will be improved, especially by a higher number of European SME participants.
